A retrospective narrative bibliographic review was carried out with a data search in the Scielo and Pubmed databases, with articles published from 2019 to 2024, in Portuguese and English. Pharmaceutical care is seen in a multifaceted way, so its applicability in HIV patients can be effective and we can see improvements in pharmacotherapy, thus enabling the patient's well-being, and this is possible with the use of tools such as health traceability, application of the pharmaceutical segment, drug reconciliation, guidance on rational use, prevention of drug interactions, as well as the possibility of acting in health education. Pharmaceutical care for HIV patients is essential and, by carrying out interventions, pharmacists help to achieve favorable outcomes and consolidate pharmaceutical care as a favorable setting for the development of this clinical practice, with a view to improving the quality of these services. It is also possible to bring quality of life to patients through pharmaceutical care.
