This paper addresses the use of translucent concrete as an innovative solution in architectural projects, highlighting its application in the expansion of the auditorium of the Pernambuco Archaeological, Historical and Geographical Institute (IAHGP). Unlike traditional concrete, this material incorporates optical fibers that allow the passage of light, promoting a harmonious integration between aesthetics and functionality. The proposal uses translucent concrete as a coating on the pillars of the auditorium, associated with LED strips, providing soft and elegant indirect lighting, without compromising the visibility or ambiance of the space. In addition to enhancing the visual aspect, the use of the material contributes to more conscious practices by making better use of natural light and reducing energy consumption. Its application also reflects an advance in the use of technological materials in contemporary architecture, promoting more comfortable, sustainable and visually attractive environments. Therefore, translucent concrete reinforces the importance of creative solutions that combine technical innovation, environmental care and aesthetic qualities in built spaces.
